Without a model, cities come from a local generator. With one, a layout agent designs the city from your brief and each module gets its own plan. Geometry, scheduling and repairs stay in code.
Run npm start, then either sign in to the Codex CLI and set ORBIT_API=codex, or add an API key and model ID to .env. Keys stay on the server.
npm start
ORBIT_API=codex
.env
ORBIT_API=codex # or OPENAI_API_KEY=your_api_key ORBIT_MODELS=your_actual_model_id
Failed plans stay visible as errors. Nothing silently falls back to the local generator.
